The Power of the Mind

Ideas are more powerful than people. I wish that I could claim that statement for my own but really, it is the truly honorable Jim DeMint's. However, the thought is something I have come up with. Think about it, what won the American Revolution? Ideas. World War II? Ideas. November 2010? Ideas. Namely the idea "that all men are created equal and that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these rights are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

That idea won a war that was against it from the onslaught and it can win another one today. Today's war is not being fought with bullets and knives, nor are men dying because of it. This war is being fought with words, pens, blogs and paper. It is, in short, a war of ideas. However, the result of this war is critical because if we lose we lost America and freedom. Stamp freedom out of America and it will never come back.
Here is the real thing though. This war can be won easily if people would start thinking. A thinking person is more deadly than a thousand enemies, and a unity mind to be feared more than your greatest foe, because by thinking you can win. Nevertheless, what counts is not the mental exercise of the head. No, it is the thoughts that are within.
What thoughts are you thinking today? What are your ideas? Only allow those ideas in your head that support freedom for all. You must not let any thought into your head that would hurt someone else's liberty, by doing so you will let freedom win. Any other thought would mean the end of freedoms.

Today we protect tomorrow.
